The Homa Bay International Investment Conference was a three day event organized by the county government of Homa Bay to bring both international and local investors to tap into the county's investment potential. The conference was graced by high profile dignitaries including President William Ruto, US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, cabinet secretaries, governors alongside members of the national assembly, and investors from different countries and sectors.
This event set the stage for discussions and announcements aimed at fostering economic growth and investment in the county. The Governor of Homa Bay highlighted the importance of enhancing value additions across diverse sectors more so in edible oil production, pineapples production, and cotton. These are the value chains that lack processing plants to scale up their production.
Governor Wanga elaborated on investment potentials in the county and initiatives to attract investors, such as land incentives and elimination of bureaucracies. Other sectors such as the blue economy, tourism and agribusiness also dominated the larger part of the discussions.
We were thrilled to participate in the Homa Bay International Investment Conference and forged new partnerships. As they say " if you want to go fast, go alone and if you want to go far, go together. " We are excited to have developed new partnerships that will trickle down to our communities we serve and we are grateful to the organizers.
